అన్నమయ్య గురించి ఎక్కువగా, అన్నమయ్య చిత్రంలో తను రాసిన పాటల గురించి తక్కువగా వివరిస్తూ వేటూరి హాసంలో రాసిన వ్యాసం ఇది. ఈ చిత్రానికి వేటూరి రాసిన పాటలు మూడే – తెలుగు పదానికి జన్మదినం, ఏలే ఏలే మరదలా, అస్మదీయ మగటిమి (అప్పట్లో ఆడియో కేసెట్‌తో పాటూ ఇచ్చిన రంగుల పాటల పుస్తకంలో "ఫాలనేత్రానల" అన్న అన్నమాచార్య కీర్తన కూడా వేటూరి రచనే అని తప్పుగా పేర్కొన్నారు).
అన్నమయ్య ప్రయోగాలపై వేటూరికి ఉన్న అవగాహన వలనే "ఏలే ఏలే మరదలా" పాటని అంత సమర్థవంతంగా రాయగలిగారని ఈ వ్యాసం చదివితే అనిపిస్తుంది (ఈ పాటకి ప్రేరణ ఏదో అన్నమయ్య కీర్తన ఉన్నట్టు గుర్తు, ఏమిటో మీకు తెలిస్తే చెప్పగలరు. అలాగే "వేణువై వచ్చాను భువనానికి" అన్న పాటకి ప్రేరణ కూడా).
"అస్మదీయ మగటిమి" పాట పానకంలో పుడకని అప్పట్లో కొందరు విమర్శించారు. అసలు సినిమాలో సాళవనరసింహరాయలు పాత్రే సరిగా చిత్రించలేదని వేటూరే ఈ వ్యాసంలో – "బాక్సాఫీస్ సూత్రాలకి, అన్నమయ్య చిత్రానికి మధ్యపడి నలిగింది" అనడం ద్వారా ఒప్పుకున్నారు. ఈ పాటని సినిమానుండీ విడదీసి ఒక శృంగార గీతంగా భావిస్తే చాలా మంచి రచనే అని అనిపిస్తుంది నాకు.

నాకు గుర్తున్నంతవరకు, ‘తెలుగు పదానికిది జన్మదినం’ పాట రచన అన్నమయ్య అని తప్పుగా రాసినట్టు గుర్తు. ఇది క్యాసెట్ ఇన్-లే కార్డు మీద.

‘పచ్చారు సొగసులు’ అంటే “ముక్కుపచ్చలప్పటికి ఆరినవేమో మరి” అంటూ వేటూరి వివరించడం ఆశ్చర్యాన్ని కలిగించింది. బండి ఱతో ఉన్న ఆఱు అంటే ఆఱిపోవడంకాని, “ఆరు” అన్న ప్రత్యయానికి -ఒప్పిన, -నిండిన అన్న అర్థాలున్నాయని వేటూరికి తెలియదా? అలరారు, నిండారు, ఒప్పారు, కప్పారు, విప్పారు అన్న పదాలు వేటూరి ఎలా మరచిపోయాడు? ‘కడుపారా భుజించడం’ అంటే కడుపు ఆరిపోయేంత వరకూ భుజించడమా? ‘చేతులారంగ శివుని పూజించడం’ అంటే చేతులు ఆరిపోయేంతవరకూ పూజించడమా?
ఇదేదో ‘పంచభూతములు’ అంటే భూతాలు, దయ్యాలు అన్నట్టు అభినయం చేసినట్లు లేదు? 🙂

i have noted that u do not the meaning of kadali telugu word and said that why cant the writer say it as arabic samudram andam,
i sincerely feel that u have to learn telugu to some extent to comment on mr veturi’s lyrics,
in the above mentioned saying also, u have again taken an opposite route and said why mr veturi do not know about the meanings of mukkupachhalappatiki aarinavemo, as aaripoyina, i hope the earlier line has its only meaning as finished, ended, the innocence is gone by, and u have started ur own version of arrogant comments, i sincerely feel that mr veturi doesnot deserve to be told the meaning of telugu words and people like you, when u want to comment on something first think about the person u r commenting about and later start ur version,
ur expression like thaagi vrasademo, nirlakshyam, etc questionable and mind ur language and come forward to comment,
this is not only an advise but strong objection towards ur writings in blogs,
hoping to see some decency soon,
